July 20th 2005 - Transaxlerose are formed in Woodstock, ON. Members include Stan Antone. The band folds on September 26th 2005. No music was recorded or released.
In the list below Thom is the singer and lyricist for each. As a solo artist Thom is known as Thomas Thomas, Thom C. Stage, Thos. Christian and now Thom Ryerson.
Stan Thom Steve
March 29th 2020 - As of this date, Thom's backing band will be known as 'The Carving Knife.' Guitarist Stan Antone and drummer Steve Wright will be the backbone. The bassist from June 9th to June 17th 2023 was Lucas Wachowiak-Gralewicz from Brantford, ON. The position is currently open. I can't wait to get back out playing live again. The last time was in November 2019, just before the Pandemic was unleashed. The Carving Knife will hopefully promote Thom's four solo CD's.
Oct 26 2011 – Lobby is formed in Woodstock, ON. This is a splinter band from Witness
for the Prosecution. The band goes on hiatus in March 2012. No music was recorded or released.

Beginners. One single.

Absolute Beginners are formed in Woodstock, ON. Members include Stan Antone. Above, Stan on the left, Tom on the right. They have released a couple of singles to universal acclaim.

– Lumber is formed is formed in Woodstock, ON. This is a splinter band from The
Fancy Dancers. They issue a CD and single in December 2009. The band goes on hiatus on February 9th 2010. (The CD is one of the rarest Thom Ryerson items)

2005 - The Fancy Dancers are formed in Woodstock, ON. Members include Stan
Antone. The band goes on hiatus in February 2010. Stan is on the left, Tom is on the right. They have released two successful CD's plus a handful of singles.

Spring 2003
– Christian Science is formed from the ashes of LiF with Stan Antone. The band
got stickers made and secured a show at Good Time Charlie's in Woodstock. Their appearance was cancelled due to a lack of bass player and drummer. The planed debut CD
was called ‘Take it,’ but it never came to be; the project fell apart without
so much as making a note. DOA November 2003.
June 26 2001
- Living in Fear are formed in Woodstock, ON, members include (left to right) Tom, James Howe, David Lundrigan and Stan Antone. The band
folded on April 8th 2002, however they still issued a live CD in 2009 called "Electric Life." The highlight of this disc was a live version of "Tainted Love," which Thom licensed the use. "Tainted Love" was the reason Thom became a singer in 1982. Yes, it's been a long road.
Nov 1995 –
Owen is completely rejuvenated with new members Andrew Hainer, Steve Wright, (Tom) and Doug Hainer. They release "The Prophesy" EP in March 1996, and the single "Small Town" in August 1996. The band however goes on hiatus in September 1996. Two full length CD's came out in 2014 and 2018. The first was the more successful.
Nov 1995 -
Cholera is formed with Doug Hainer in Woodstock, ON. The idea of the band is to
carry on the spirit of The Dead Puppies. This band goes on hiatus after the
release of their debut CD, Sky Skrapping in June 2008. That same year they issue the 1986 Dead Puppies recording "Experience the Malfunction" as "Sky Skraping."
Jan 14th
1995 – Owen is formed with Jeremy Chambers from Saint Judy in Woodstock, ON. Other members include Bob Brown, Rob Varro,
and John Speechley. This version of the band folds in November 1995. The photo above was taken on Aug 20 1995 by Belinda Cleve Stevens. The band issued two singles, "Slacker Anthem" and "Guilty," both which did pretty good.
Jan 19th
1994 – Saint Judy is formed from A Date with Judy in Ingersoll, ON; members
include Chris Daminato, Stan Antone, Stu B. Jeffery, Adam Arsenault, Robb
Hoyland (Yes, from Euphoria) and Jeremy Chambers. The band
folds in January 1995. In the above photo left to right we have Chris, Tom. Jeremy and Stu. (Aug 1994) They released both a studio and a live album over a six month period. Some of the live tracks have been included on Thom's 2021 live CD, "All of this or Nothing."
Feb 14 1993
– A Date with Judy is formed in Ingersoll, ON with guitarist Stan V. Antone.
Other members include Chris Daminato, Rod Patry, Lee Brett, Nelson Vandelinder,
and Al Benetto. A year later this band evolves into Saint Judy. In the photo above we have Chris, Al, Tom and Stan. (Oct 16 1993) They issued several cassettes and a single, "A Certain Sacrifice," which Thom included on his 2021 live CD, "All of this or Nothing."
Dec 8th
1992 – Euphoria is formed with Stu B. Jeffery (Lead), Rich Godden (Bass), Robb
Hoyland (Rhythm), and Kurt McRae (Drums), based in London & Ingersoll, ON. They reherse an original called "Cash Nexus," and a cover of "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." The musicians go behind Thom's back and using his equippment practise as Broken Blue, strictly a cover band. Thom meets Stan V. Antone and they recover Thom's stuff in February 1993.
March 29
1992 – Ryerson-Bourne is formed with Andrew Bourne on piano in Ingersoll, ON.
The duo fold in the fall of 1992. The two songs they cut, "The Narrow Way" and "Faith In Love" have been release as singles by Thos. Christian.
July 4 1990 – Counterpoint is formed with guitarist Jeff
Garbutt-Logan in Ingersoll, ON. The band is put on hiatus following bass player
Steve Shelton’s death in March 1992. Songs that came out of this group included "All I want to do is love you better than anyone else," "Twilight Violation," and "Waiting for the Aliens."
March 12
1989 – ABS Absolute is formed with Steve Shelton, Bob Harris & Brian Vidler
in Ingersoll, ON. The band evolves into Counterpoint with Jeff Garbutt-Logan,
but folds with the passing of Steve Shelton. Songs that came out of this group include "Stained" and "Stand on It."
Nov 25 1987
– Cosmic Accelerator is formed with Nick Nosko, Carey Albright, Dave Cookerton, and Paul Shalabat, in
London, ON. The band folds in January 1988 after four or five practises.
April 1 1986 – H-Bloc is formed with Gerald Seaman on
synthesizers in Thunder Bay, ON. After two
recording sessions the duo folds in May 1986. They cut "Never Never" and "Going Down." The first song was a disappointment to Thom, and was tossed in the dustbin.
Sept 3 1985 – The solo moniker of Thomas Thomas is created,
but not actually used until the release of ‘Going Down’ in 2011 as a digital single. "Going Down" was also included in Thom Ryerson's debut solo CD in 2019, and on the B-Side of the "Surreal" single issued in 2020.
March 4th
1985 – The Dead Puppies are formed with Joe Maagdenburg, Joe Lafontaine, and
later on, Craig Moorhouse joins. Thunder Bay, ON. After three recording sessions the band folds
in May 1986. A live reunion in December 1993 results in three new tracks and a cassette box set the following year. The band evolves into Cholera which disbands in
June 2008. In the picture above we have Joe, Craig and Tom. Thier music has been released on three CDs, "Cholera - Sky Skrapping" in 2008, "The Dead Puppies - Experience the Malfunction" in 2017, and "The Dead Puppies - 1985," in 2019. All are available at i-Tunes and other fine on-line shops.
Fall 1984 –
The Con-Feds are formed with Gabor Fabian on acoustic guitar in Thunder Bay, ON. They were basically a C.C.R. cover band. Thom tried to secure some gigs in Thunder Bay, but Gabor suddenly quit college, and the band folded in
March of 1985.
